A Summation

So the last post had little to do with Japan, it was just pretty, and even though Lou Doillon is only 1/2 related to Charlotte Gainsbourg, I appreciated it enough to share.

This video speaks for itself, and pretty much sums up the life of the sarariman (well, if he were a cat). I guess "Jalala" is somehow associated with cats in Japan, or something; aside from this hotel reservation site, it is also the name of the Cat Cafe near Waseda. I guess this is also Japan's answer to "the traveling gnome."

Because I am writing a paper.

"I think that the most obvious 'elephant in the room' is that most people (one would hope) now marry simply for love, with wage earning and economic potential remaining a completely unrelated issue. Women marry because they want to or because of religious beliefs, not only because their husband may increase their income. Its completely by the way to suggest that a well-educated woman need not marry - the most intelligent women of all time have nonetheless been known to have their hearts stolen."

Say Hi to Positivity.

"I believe that everything happens for a reason.
People change so that you can learn to let go,
things go wrong so that you appreciate them when
they’re right, you believe less so you eventually
learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes
good things fall apart so better things can fall together."

A Homework Assignment

January

The semester is winding down! Can't believe it! It does not feel like I've been in Tokyo for long at all!

Tomorrow is my last quiz in Japanese class (um...yes!), and I have almost finished my Japanese Literature and Media Economics papers. After those are done, I think I can relax a little.

There are a bunch of castings this month, but I have missed a lot of class lately, so I am pretty hesitant to skip anymore so soon before exams start. 3 exams, 4 papers. I did have a delightful 2 hour haircut today, so at least I look my age again.

There was a birthday/goodbye party for one of my good friends this past week at Trump House (not Trump Room), and it was pretty interesting to be around what I would consider very GW-esque people. The kids who went to International high school all seem pretty awesome.

Anyway, enough procrastinating, now I am off to do my color-in Kanji homework...
